Electronic Laboratory Manual cum Notebook (ELMN)
A team comprising of students, teachers and researchers of various institutions initiated this project of designing Electronic Laboratory Manual cum Notebook for school, undergraduate and postgraduate science students.
The group wishes to implement this initiative through conducting few workshops. To begin with we are concentrating on Class IX-XII CBSE and B Sc (Hons) Chemistry Delhi University and Bachelor in Science (Research) and Master of Science programme of Indian Institute of Science Bangalore.
The project is initially designed under a Delhi University Innovation Project entitled, Design and Implementation of Electronic Laboratory Manual cum Notebook. The project is carried out in Hindu College under the mentor ships of Dr Kavita A Sharma President South Asian University, Professor NK Uberoi Vice President DAVCMC and Professor Uday Maitra IISc Bangalore NR IUPAC CCE.
We have got a success in implementing this technology in Hindu College last semester where all the ninety students used this methodology. The students are quite satisfied with the way they performed experiments this semester. It has certainly saved their time, saved paper lab record and performed all the experiments reported in the syllabus. The teachers could easily managed students results with some initial hurdles and they interacted with the students online too.
It is very important that our science students are trained to think the basic concept of science through WHY AND HOW things happen. Keeping this in mind we conduct VigyanPratispradha – A science quiz for our young students from classes 6th onward. This online version is designed and developed by Russian Centre for Science and Culture (Under the leadership of Mr Aleksey Wapownikov) in collaboration with Centre for Innovations in Science Education MLK DAV School Dwarka.
